Footage of Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream‘s new PlayStation 3 engine has been released in a new short film “Kara“. This is running in real time on PlayStation 3, and features an android in the future named Kara who is manufactured and becomes self-aware.
The Kara demo was conceptualized as a way for the team to discover what its new graphics engine was capable of before embarking on its next proper game (which would become Beyond: Two Souls, starring Ellen Page).
Director David Cage spoke to Eurogamer about the new demo.
